Již po třinácté se staly Říčany v posledním prázdninovém týdnu hostiteli šachového openu, který se hraje také jako přebor Středočeského kraje v praktickém šachu. I letos jsme zde měli své zástupce Jiřího Feierfeila, Davida Zvolenského a Vojtu Dudka, kteří si zahráli turnaj B.
Jiří Feierfeil se v posledních letech snaží účastí v turnaji B dosáhnout na finanční odměnu. To se mu letos podařilo i přesto, že byl B turnaj i díky zápisu na FIDE elo letos silněji obsazen. Jiří sice musel v průběhu turnaje skousnout prohru s vlašimským talentem Kubou Vojtou (1628), ale nepolevil. Postupně se tak musel průběžným pořadím prokousávat ze zadních pozic a nemohl tak nabrat tolik zkušeností ze soubojů se silnými hráči. Přesto je ale výkonnostní růst našeho hráče obdivuhodný.
